KEEPING IT REAL FRESH
Preserving Our Bread
At Olde Hearth Bread Company, hand-crafted breads are unique due to the combination of quality ingredients, hand shaping and being baked in our stone-deck oven.
The breads are baked fresh without any preservatives, so we urge you to enjoy the fresh-baked bread on the day of purchase.
Here are some tips on how to keep your bread fresh and delicious.
Serving
Serve bread at room temperature on the day of purchase or warm it in the oven at 350 degrees for 5 - 10 minutes (placed directly on the rack).
Storage
Store your fresh bread in our bag at room temperature away from the heat. If the bread has been cut, store the bread with the cut side down in paper bag. Avoid refrigerating, which dries out the moist interior of the bread.
Freezing
Our bread freezes very well - since it does not contain preservatives. Seal the bread in an air-tight plastic bag. The bread can stay in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
Defrosting
Defrost your bread in the bag at room temperature until thawed for two to three hours.
